Haitai | Seoul, South Korea

"Haitai" (sometimes spelled Haetae) is an imaginary animal in Korea that knows the difference between right and wrong. It is said that there was a custom of placing a statue of Haitai in front of a palace or government office to clean up the unclean and unjust private mind.
